Family Law Mediation
Mediation is less stressful and can save time and money
About Alison: |
I am registered with the Family Mediation Council as an accredited mediator, Professional Practice Consultant (PPC) and child consultant.
I also hold professional membership with the Family Mediators Association (FMA) My office is based in the centre of Derby in Riverside Chambers. As a small independent practice we regret that we are not able to offer publicly funded mediation or help via the temporary Government Voucher Scheme. |
My Role
As your mediator my role is to help you sort out the many issues that arise when a relationship has broken down. I can help you make decisions that you will both be comfortable with. Most importantly if children are involved I will support and help you to look at the arrangements you want to put in place for their care.
Financial Matters
Whilst in mediation I can help you manage your financial disclosure and achieve workable solutions that can then be included in a formal order of the court when appropriate.
Child Consultation
If it is appropriate I can meet with your children and speak with them to discover their wishes and feelings as part of the mediation process. For more information about how children can be affected by separation see Voices in the Middle. You can find additional information about your child's needs and the Cafcass Parenting Plan at https://www.cafcass.gov.uk/grown-ups/parents-and-carers/divorce-and-separation/parenting-plan/
